Discovery Park Engagement, Seattle | M + B

Lifestyle

I know it’s officially spring, but there is very little sign of it in Seattle. I feel like we’ve been living under a raincloud the past few months. It was such a gift to have the sun out during Maggie and Blair’s sweet Discovery Park spring engagement session. Most of my couples prefer a sunset session. That golden hour is pretty magical. But Maggie and Blair opted for a morning session and I’m so glad they did. We found a secluded little spot with fresh greenery and the morning light poured in beautifully. The trick with morning sessions is timing it just right so that we get the right amount of soft light and I think we nailed it. I’m a huge fan of morning sessions and highly recommend them.

If you’re also wondering what to wear to an engagement session take your cue from these two. Their outfits are perfect for spring. The colors, the material and a little bit of fanciness. It’s a classic look that fits all types of different backdrops. The soft colors, simple background and morning light really created a dreamy look to this shoot.

Maggie and Blair brought the magic and I couldn’t get enough of the tenderness and the love they exude for one another. They met in Washington D.C. while playing in a kickball league and shortly after exchanging numbers Maggie did a solo hike along the Appalachian Trail. So not only is she beautiful and adventurous, she’s also totally brave! This fall they’ll reunite with their friends and family in D.C. to tie the knot and I couldn’t be happier for them.
