I can’t believe we have officially closed the doors on 2017. It was a year filled with travel, amazing moments, and the sweetest couples. 2017 marked the first year I photographed weddings in Southern California, Portland and the San Juan Islands. I worked with incredible vendors and photographed some of my favorite editorial shoots. Towards the end of the year I started shooting film again and it was like being reunited with a long lost friend. Putting together Year in Review posts makes me so happy. Wedding season is quite the whirlwind. Getting to reflect on all of those celebrations makes me feel so fortunate to all the couples who welcomed me into their lives. Photographing love is always a beautiful thing.
This year Carl and I celebrated our seventh wedding anniversary. Seeing him walk across the stage to accept his Nursing diploma from Seattle University was definitely at the top of my favorite moments from 2017. We celebrated with his family in Seattle before spending a week in Mexico. My cousin also announced her engagement in 2017 and she’ll be getting married this upcoming year. Our family is very excited because we haven’t had a wedding in our family since Carl and I tied the knot.
In 2018 I am looking forward to a brand new website. The new site will be up and running in the next several weeks so stay tuned. I’ll also be traveling to Iceland for the first time. We’re taking the trip with my sister and her girlfriend and doing a 50 mile hike. My best friend is getting married and I couldn’t be more honored to photograph her big day. I’m also going to learn how to play the ukulele. Cheers to a happy and healthy 2018 my friends!
Engaged couples: I still have dates available in 2018 so please inquire here and we can chat about your upcoming wedding.
