Roche Harbor Wedding, Washington | L + S

Wedding

The San Juan Islands are one of my favorite places to visit in the Pacific Northwest. When Lauren and Stu contacted me about photographing their Roche Harbor wedding I was excited from the start. These loves might be Californians but their love for the Pacific Northwest runs deep. Getting to share that love with their guests in Roche Harbor made it truly special.

My day started out with a peaceful sunrise while waiting to board the ferry. Sipping hot chocolate and watching harbor porpoises from the deck is how I’d like to start every morning. Lauren and Stu’s Roche Harbor wedding took place on a gorgeous September day. They were surrounded by the sweetest group of friends and family and of course, their adorable pup, Bailey. A highlight from the day was riding in the open air trolley to the Lime Kiln lighthouse for photos. Music was playing and everyone was just having the best time, celebrating Lauren and Stu and soaking up the incredible views and the warm weather.

The garden ceremony was beautifully decorated by Leah of Bloom San Juan. My favorite moment from the entire day was when Bailey decided to take a nap in between her humans as they exchanged their vows. I find it’s always extra special when fur babies are included in the wedding festivities. After the ceremony, guests were treated to cocktails and appetizers in the courtyard before sitting down to a delicious dinner. I ended the evening with Lauren and Stu soaking up that golden hour light in the garden and loving every second of my time with them.
