wedding at Beltane Ranch

Beltane Ranch Wedding, Glen Ellen | H + A

Wedding

Hannah and Aaron live in Boston but they opted for a stunning wine country wedding at the incomparable Beltane Ranch amid the rolling vineyards and oaks of Glen Ellen. Their wedding took place at the very end of summer, which started out warm and sunny, but by the evening, it was as if autumn had rolled in. You could feel the changing of the seasons in the air. This created such a feeling of coziness leading into the evening’s festivities. Guests came from all over the country to celebrate, laugh, cry and love. It couldn’t have been more perfect.

Beltane Ranch is one of my very favorite wedding venues and one that I can return to time and time again. My love affair with Beltane started around 2012 and continues to this day. The Victorian farm is surrounded by gardens and ancient oak trees. Receptions take place in the garden, where guests dine al fresco and end the night dancing away under twinkling lights. This place is pure magic, making it one of the best venues California’s wine country has to offer.

First Look

The summer garden at Beltane Ranch truly is a tranquil space and was the ideal spot for Hannah and Aaron’s first look.

Ceremony

Wedding ceremonies under these oak trees are timeless and romantic and are a welcome reprieve on hot summer days. What I love about this space is the variety of ways it can be decorated for ceremonies. The white drape that was used for this wedding was simple, yet elegant. The way it floated with the breeze was ethereal and poetic.

Cocktail Hour

Cocktail hour in the garden is a wonderful space for guests to gather and get lost in conversation. One of my favorite design elements from the day is the bohemian tent, where guests could recline and enjoy a game of Jenga.

Couple Portraits

As the day progressed, the clouds moved in and the coolness of autumn started to set in. We took this time to sneak away during the reception to get some additional portraits. This time to reconnect with one another is so important, therefore I always recommend scheduling 10-15 minutes for golden hour portraits.
