Hakone Gardens Wedding, Saratoga | N+H

Wedding

Nuti and Harsh tied the knot on a gorgeous spring day in Saratoga. Their Hakone Gardens wedding officially kicked off this year’s wedding season. I couldn’t ask for a better couple to begin this year’s celebrations. Nuti and Harsh’s wedding was intimate and full of color. A stunning combination of Indian and Western wedding traditions.

Having never been to Hakone Gardens, I was immediately struck by the tranquility that stretched from every part of the garden. Altogether, it is certainly a seamless blend of art and nature. As a matter of fact, Hakone is built into a hillside, with a variety of gardens and pathways to stroll. It’s undoubtedly beautiful in every season, but I imagine especially in the fall when everything is changing colors.

Upon Nuti’s arrival, I was immediately blown away by her red and gold lehenga and gold jewelry. Without a doubt, she looked like a work of art. I was truly honored to be able to photograph Nuti on her wedding day. Soon after I arrived, family and friends were greeted into the ceremony space by a view of the gorgeous hillside, Koi pond and cascading waterfall. Dinner was enjoyed in the courtyard surrounded by bamboo, oak trees and hanging lanterns.

Hakone Gardens is really a space where nature and love combine and create a perfect setting to celebrate for all those present.
