Meet Catie

Hi there! I'm Catie, a natural light wedding photographer, tea drinker and house plant enthusiast. I am a lover of light and heartfelt moments. I have a knack for putting people at ease in front of the camera and an eye for capturing genuine moments. I am truly passionate about what I do and I'm there for my couples every step of the way.

  • I am terrified of bears but I married a man who loves to camp.
  • I own over 70 houseplants and I'm always finding room for more.
  • There is a soft spot in my heart for adopting senior cats.
  • My favorite way to unwind is to read before bed.
  • I spend almost every birthday rollerskating.
  • I think eating cereal for dinner is totally acceptable.

More about Catie

I read, "Where the Heart Is" my sophomore year of high school and knew I wanted to be a photographer.

That book lit a fire inside me and suddenly I was seeing life through a viewfinder; seeing moments as pictures. I pursued my passion and earned a BA in Fine Arts with an emphasis in Photography from Seattle University and then returned back home to the Bay Area, where I met and fell in love with my husband, Carl. We love to dance and make up silly songs and I can count on him to make me laugh every single day. We live a quiet little life with our cat, Bert. When I’m not documenting love stories you can find me playing the violin, tap dancing or curled up on the couch with a good book. I’m a firm believer that tea fixes everything, I have a soft spot for adopting older animals, I’ve always loved being 100% Irish, and I’ve been a vegetarian for most of my life.

As a wedding photographer I have a deep commitment to the couples that trust me to capture their love story. Please know that our relationship doesn’t begin when I photograph your wedding, it begins the moment we sit down and chat for the first time. I want us to feel like old friends. For me, it isn’t just about your wedding day; it’s about creating an experience you will remember forever.

FREQUENTLY ASKED

QUESTIONS

DO YOU TRAVEL FOR WEDDINGS?

Yes, I love to travel. Depending on the location, a travel fee may apply.

DO YOU OFFER ALBUMS OR PRINTED IMAGES?

Yes, I offer heirloom albums, prints, and canvases all produced through a professional lab, which ensures the highest quality materials and accurate colors. Every gallery is linked to the professional printer, so printed goods can be easily ordered. Every wedding collection includes a set of 4x6 prints of your favorite images, along with a custom flash drive and print release. Your wedding package is delivered in a lovely linen box.

SHOULD WE HAVE A SECOND SHOOTER?

While I shoot most of my weddings on my own, there are certain circumstances where having a second shooter is recommended. Once I have a better sense of your wedding details I can offer you guidance on whether a second shooter is necessary.

HOW WILL WE RECEIVE OUR FINAL IMAGES?

All weddings and lifestyle sessions are delivered through an online gallery for easy viewing, sharing with friends and family, and downloading. All the images are in high-resolution, edited and watermark free. Lifestyle sessions are delivered 2-3 weeks after the session and weddings are delivered 4-6 weeks after the wedding.

SHOULD WE DO AN ENGAGEMENT SESSION?

Yes, an engagement session is a wonderful way to not only document this incredible time in your relationship, but it also allows us the opportunity to break the ice and bond. You can showcase your personalities in a more relaxed setting and it gives you the chance to see how I work behind the camera, so it's one less unknown on your wedding day.Paragraph

HOW DO WE BOOK YOU FOR OUR WEDDING?

To reserve your day with me you must have a wedding date and venue secured. Once I have received a signed contract and a retainer, your date is officially booked!
