FINE ART WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

Specializing in Romantic, Natural Light Imagery at Flood Mansion

Communicating and investing time with my couples is so important to me. I will provide you with a Wedding Day Guide to assist with the planning and preparation of your engagement session and wedding day from a photography standpoint. In the weeks leading up to your wedding, we will work together to create a wedding day timeline to ensure I have plenty of time to capture your important wedding day moments. My focus throughout the day is to capture organic emotions, the connections between people, and your pretty details.

I am skilled at capturing the unique moments on a wedding day by taking an artistic photojournalism approach. My fine art wedding photography emulates the look of film, with true to life color and soft grain.

why Flood Mansion?

As a wedding photographer I am drawn to romance, couples who value photography and beautiful, timeless architecture.

I love it when couples throw tradition to the wind and have the type of wedding that speaks true to their souls. They are passionate for one another and find joy and tenderness in the quiet moments spent together. They want the story of their wedding to unfold naturally and authentically. I will always be drawn to capturing raw, heartfelt and tender moments that occur spontaneously. Flood Mansion is an elegant and classical wedding venue in the Pacific Heights neighborhood of San Francisco. The historic estate is surrounded by picturesque views of the city. It's architecture, alongside its indoor and outdoor settings, makes it an ideal location for a quintessential San Francisco wedding.

  1. If you're drawn to amazing architecture and want the theme of your wedding to reflect style and sophistication, look no further than Flood Mansion.
  2. Hire a wedding planner/coordinator. A planner can help with everything from design to budget, stationary to invitations, finding and booking vendors. They'll coordinate everything the day of the wedding and help reduce your stress by managing and organizing all the details from start to finish. Flood Mansion has a full collection of planning and design coordinators they trust to assist in planning your wedding.
  3. If you want to use Flood Mansion for your formal portraits, such as first look, wedding party and immediate family, prior to your ceremony, be sure to coordinate the timing with your planner and photographer to ensure that this can be done while your wedding is getting set up. While the front of the building can be used during golden hour, it is not an ideal location to use midday, as it's generally in direct sun until close to sunset. If you want to use the courtyard where the ceremony takes place, you'll want to be sure that you can access this while your ceremony is getting set up. If you're flexible with where portraits take place, the Pacific Heights neighborhood is stunning to use as a backdrop.
  4. Consider having an unplugged ceremony. An unplugged ceremony is when guests are asked to turn off all devices and cameras for the duration of the ceremony. It prevents guests from standing in the aisle and blocking the view of your photographers, and you get photos of smiling guests instead of distracted ones holding iPads and cell phones.
  5. Golden hour is the final hour of daylight before sunset when the sun is low in the sky and the light is a beautiful golden tone. This time of day offers the ideal lighting for creating breathtaking portraits. I always recommend we snap some additional couple's portraits during this time. We have access to the balcony, which overlooks the city and on a clear day you can see the Golden Gate Bridge.
