FINE ART WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

Specializing in Romantic, Natural Light Imagery at Beltane Ranch

Communicating and investing time with my couples is so important to me. I will provide you with a Wedding Day Guide to assist with the planning and preparation of your engagement session and wedding day from a photography standpoint. In the weeks leading up to your wedding, we will work together to create a wedding day timeline to ensure I have plenty of time to capture your important wedding day moments. My focus throughout the day is to capture organic emotions, the connections between people, and your pretty details.

I am skilled at capturing the unique moments on a wedding day by taking an artistic photojournalism approach. My fine art wedding photography emulates the look of film, with true to life color and soft grain.

why Beltane Ranch?

As a wedding photographer I am drawn to romance, couples who value photography and beautiful, outdoor spaces.

I love it when couples throw tradition to the wind and have the type of wedding that speaks true to their souls. They are passionate for one another and find joy and tenderness in the quiet moments spent together. They want the story of their wedding to unfold naturally and authentically. I will always be drawn to capturing raw, heartfelt and tender moments that occur spontaneously. Beltane Ranch is rooted in history and offers couples and their guests an unforgettable wine country experience. Located in the heart of Sonoma Valley, this exceptional wedding venue is surrounded by gardens, ancient oak trees and incredible wine country views, making it an ideal location for a quintessential Sonoma Valley wedding.

  1. If you're drawn to California's wine country and want to host an outdoor wedding your guests are sure to love, then look no further than Beltane Ranch. With 105 acres of stunning photography locations, Beltane Ranch is one of my favorite wedding venues in Sonoma County.
  2. Hire a wedding planner/coordinator. A planner can help with everything from design to budget, stationary to invitations, finding and booking vendors. They'll coordinate everything the day of the wedding and help reduce your stress by managing and organizing all the details from start to finish.
  3. Consider the seasons. While summer is prime wedding season, every season in Sonoma County is beautiful. Summer temperatures can be sweltering, so if you prefer milder temperatures, a spring or fall wedding can be just as special. The autumnal colors in the vineyards are my favorite. Evenings can be on the cooler side, so opt for plenty of space heaters, or cozy blankets to keep guests warm into the evening hours.
  4. Opt for an unplugged ceremony. An unplugged ceremony is when guests are asked to turn off all devices and cameras for the duration of the ceremony. It prevents guests from standing in the aisle and blocking the view of your photographers, and you get photos of smiling guests instead of distracted ones holding iPads and cell phones.
  5. Golden hour is the final hour of daylight before sunset when the sun is low in the sky and the light is a beautiful golden tone. This time of day offers the ideal lighting for creating breathtaking portraits. I always recommend we snap some additional couple portraits during this time. Getting to stroll around Beltane Ranch as the sun begins to set really is breathtaking.
