Give me a sweet couple, a greenhouse and all the natural light my heart desires and it’s the perfect recipe for a dreamy shoot. My heart was so full getting to photograph Maddy and Steven’s sweet portrait session inside Volunteer Park Conservatory. Their gentle way with one another made my heart melt. It was so fun getting to capture this time with them before they headed off on an adventurous road trip.
Volunteer Park Conservatory is a gem. I wish I could live inside of it. The light, the plants and pops of orange were just a few of my favorite things. Rain or shine, sun or cloudy skies, the light in this place just can’t be beat. One half of the conservatory is filled with arid plants and the other half is filled with lush greens. You get two different kinds of backdrops without ever having to leave the building. For this particular session are focus was primarily on the desert vibe. I love how bright colors really stand out in a more neutral setting. Maddy’s orange jumpsuit and floral bouquet complimented this space so well.
