The Barn at Harrow Cellars is part of Cornerstone Gardens. Cornerstone is a really beautiful location, with a variety of spaces around its property for weddings. Years have passed since I last photographed a wedding at Cornerstone. I am thrilled to discover that The Barn at Harrow Cellars is part of it. A big thank you to my good friend, Jenna Bechtholt, for asking me to come along and assist her on this beautiful wedding in Sonoma.

Amanda and Kyle are Pacific Northwest natives, but currently live in San Francisco. They hosted a beautiful spring wedding at The Barn at Harrow Cellars in the heart of wine country. Their wedding took place on one of the windiest days I have ever experienced, but they didn’t let it dampen their spirits or their smiles. Their wedding was a classic black and white affair with hints of greenery.

Reception

This white-washed barn is a wonderful location for an indoor-outdoor wedding. Its pathways are lined with olive trees. Following the ceremony, guests are treated to views of the Carneros hills while enjoying cocktails out on the lawn. I imagine this being a really wonderful location to host an outdoor dinner reception during the summer. I’m picturing family style dining at long wooden tables and bistro lights hanging above. Luckily, on this particular day, guests enjoyed dining indoors, away from the wind.

Golden Hour

Despite the wind, we headed outside during golden hour for some dreamy portraits. California’s light never ceases to amaze me. I especially love the path in front of the barn. It is lined with olive trees and lavender, making it an especially romantic location for portraits.
