A Leavenworth Wedding in the Garden

Wedding

Bonnie and Buck exude love and warm. They are just one of those couples who make an impression. I was immediately drawn to them when we met a few years ago at another wedding I photographed, where Bonnie was a bridesmaid. Their Leavenworth wedding was one for the books. It was the kind of day I could go back to over and over again.

First Look

I truly appreciate couples who value photography and Bonnie and Buck are just that kind of couple. As a result of working closely together on their wedding day timeline, we certainly had plenty of time for portraits in some of their favorite locations. We began the day at the Post Hotel, where portraits took place on the balcony. Despite the day being slightly overcast, it created the perfect filter for portraits. We were lucky that few guests were around, which made their time together feel especially private. After spending time at the Post Hotel, we eventually headed to their favorite swimming hole; a place that offered sweeping majestic views of the mountains.

Pro tip: I work closely with each and every one of my couples leading up to their wedding day, to ensure that we have a photography timeline that allows for all of their special moments to be captured. Each couple also receives a wedding day questionnaire. This form helps organize the formal family photography list, as well as other key elements of the day.

The Venue

Roots Produce & Flower Farm is an ideal location for couples wanting to host an intimate Leavenworth wedding. Additionally, it offers beautiful views of Wedge Mountain and Sleeping Lady. I can’t imagine Bonnie and Buck tying the knot anywhere else. The aesthetic of Roots Produce & Flower Farm suited the vibe of their wedding day perfectly.

Wedding Ceremony

Bonnie and Buck hosted a small ceremony with their nearest and dearest. Their day was laid back and charming and particularly about being present with their loved ones. A highlight from this day was getting to spot my very first bear. He happily watched the festivities up in a tree while snacking on apples, which is exactly where I would prefer him to be.

The day ended just as perfectly as it began and I couldn’t have asked for anything better. I am beyond grateful that I got to celebrate alongside these two loves.
