It’s no surprise that California’s wine country attracts couples from all over the country as the destination they choose to tie the knot. Jessica and Lucas call Chicago home, but they hosted a lovely weekend for their eighty five guests in Geyserville. Their Trentadue Winery wedding took place just over a week ago, and I couldn’t wait to get these lovelies up on the blog.
Getting Ready
I swooned over absolutely every aspect of this wedding. From the dreamy bridal suite at a cute bed and breakfast. (It was filled with so much natural light and white, white, white! It’s what my getting ready photo dreams are made of.) Jessica and her bridesmaids wore beautiful gowns from BHLDN.
Ceremony
It was my first time photographing a wedding at Trentadue winery and it did not disappoint. This venue is really wonderful. The ceremony and reception both took place outdoors, which really is a must when you’re in the wine country. You just can’t beat those summer nights and those stunning views.
Reception
Jessica and Lucas were surrounded by a wonderful group of close friends and family. They cherished every moment together and seemed so relaxed and carefree the entire day. Everyone was just so happy to be together and it was such an honor to be there documenting all the love and all the laughs.
Golden Hour
We had the most gorgeous golden hour so we had to sneak away during the reception for more couple portraits. I always recommend my couples take anywhere from ten to fifteen minutes to step away and reconnect with one another during this dreamy time of day.
Pro tip: Depending on the time of year, typically your guests are eating and socializing during golden hour, so it’s the perfect time to step away and have some time together to get some additional portraits of just the two of you.
