Deep Fall Hues Paired With Pretty Pastels at a Glen Ellen Wedding

Wedding

There is something so magical about California’s wine country. The light, the landscape and the weather make it an ideal location for weddings year round, but I honestly feel that a wine country wedding in the fall just can’t be beat. I was so lucky to be able to assist with Sam and Chris’ wedding in early October at BR Cohn Winery. It was my first time photographing a wedding at this winery and I hadn’t realized just how much I missed shooting in the wine country until I arrived in Glen Ellen. For anyone that’s been there, you know it’s a little slice of heaven. And for those of you who have yet to travel there, what are you waiting for?

This BR Cohn Winery wedding had it all. From elegant decor to a beautiful outdoor ceremony, this autumn wedding was a gorgeous one.

Wedding Ceremony

Sam and Chris’ ceremony took place under an old oak tree. Flower arrangements, with rich fall tones and textures adorned wine barrels. The bridesmaids’ bouquets really popped in contrast to their blush dresses. It was a perfect combination of light and dark colors.

Cocktail Hour

Guests enjoyed playing lawn games, eating fresh oysters and sipping on wine before sitting down to a lovely outdoor dinner. One of the best things about wine country weddings is the relaxed atmosphere they tend to have and the quality time people get to spend together. I love capturing candids during this time of people just socializing and being completely at ease.

Wedding Reception

Vintage books and lovely flower arrangements adorned each table. I love how the trees were wrapped in sparkling lights. It’s such a simple and beautiful way to dress up your reception. There were tears of joy and lots of laughter during speeches. And finally, guests enjoyed the remainder of the evening dancing under the stars. This was another wine country wedding for the books.
