I assisted with this intimate Atwood Ranch wedding and everything about Becky and Alan’s wedding day tugs at my heartstrings. The deep love this couple shares with one another touched everyone around them. From her dress and veil, to their vows and soft caresses, the word romantic does not even begin to describe the beauty of this day.
The Venue
Atwood Ranch is located in beautiful Glen Ellen, which is the home to several stunning wedding venues. You really can’t go wrong with this location. The grounds are gorgeous. I love the mix of oak trees with the vineyards. It offers stunning views of Sonoma County and has a very interesting history. Atwood Ranch has been growing grapes since the 1800s. Several quarries adjacent to the ranch produced cobblestones for San Francisco streets.
The Ceremony
Becky and Alan’s touching vows made everyone they love emotional. It was impossible not to be swept away by all of the goodness that embodied this day.
Wedding Party
Becky made such a stunning bride and she truly reflected on every single moment and enjoyed every bit of it. I really love when couples choose to have a smaller wedding party because I just love the feel of an intimate wedding. Becky chose two of her closest girlfriends as bridesmaids and as they reflected on childhood memories they couldn’t help but shed happy tears. I love how she incorporated bouquets and fans into her wedding look.
Wedding Reception
Guests were treated to cocktails and appetizers on the patio before making the walk all together to the barn for dinner. During cocktail hour, I really focus on capturing tender moments between guests chatting and laughing. I also like to photograph all the savory treats and drinks so that my couples can look back and remember all the details, big and small, from their wedding day.
